If it’s something that I can feasibly get with enough grinding then I’ll mod it in or use an exploit if possible. But cheats allow us to experience games to our own liking and there's nothing wrong with that (competitive games, speedrunning etc is obviously a different story as you said).Ībsolutely. Imo, I love having cheats as an option in games and believe every game should have them as an option. Instead, I got to enjoy an hour or two of a game that I would have otherwise never touched or got bored of before I'd even experienced the said abilities and gameplay that intrigued me in the first place. Didn't feel like I'd missed out on story or the satisfaction of progression or anything like that. Shooters are not my thing, never have been, I knew the game wouldn't hold my interest long enough to unlock all the fun abilities the normal way, so I didn't even hesitate to download a cheat engine to unlock everything from the start before I'd even run the game once.ĭidn't regret it at all. However, a while ago I decided to try out Rage 2 because I'd heard good things about the gunplay and player abilities being a lot of fun to play around with.
